For what seems like months now, the media has been centered on Allen Iverson, and where he would be traded to. There were reports that he killed a deal to Charlotte at one point, despite the fact that he doesn’t have a no trade clause in his contract. That’s pretty damned good, for A.I. if that’s true.
As it turns out, Denver made themselves the fool at this dance. All day today I heard about how this will work out great in Denver, but I don’t see it. A.I. is A. I.. Period. He is not going to change because he has Melo alongside him. It just isn’t going to happen. Remember when Gary Payton and Karl Malone went to the Lakers, and everyone was annoiting them the champs? How did that work out for those two guys? I know, it’s a different situation and no one is handing Denver the title, but my point is still solid. Unless the Nuggets are going to score 120 a night, this is going to be a huge debacle. I can’t wait.
