I just want to make sure that you are aware of the new page. The intention here is to make it easy for you to check up on your favorite Wolfpackers that made it to the pros. It will be a work in progress for the foreseeable future, so please feel free to give suggestions or chime in with players who I am missing. Here is the link, you can also find the new page by the link on the left-hand side of the main page. It should be noted that a player doesn’t have to technically be an alumni to be listed…

There has been a lot of discussion on some of the blogs about how much of a failure the public relations department at NC State has been in regards to getting Tom O’Brien face time at basketball games. Well folks, you could not ask for a better cameo than you got on Saturday. When the camera’s did find T.O.B., they found him sitting between two members of the Simms family. On his left was Chris Simms, current quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On his right was the youngest son of Phil Simms, Matt Simms. Continue reading ‘T.O.B. Sighting!’
You may have noticed that I do not do a lot of game break downs on here. Its because I do not get to watch many games, as they are out of market for me. Yesterday’s game against Duke, however, was on national television. So my lovely wife and I planned our day around being home at 3:30 to turn on the tube. What a debacle we had the privilege of witnessing. There were no illusions in my mind that the Pack would defeat the Blue Devils yesterday, but I did think that the game would be more competitive than it turned out to be. They came in the front gate, took a quick look around, and then rode the hell out of the rides that they liked best. Unfortunately for NC State, that meant hanging on the front of the rim, and draining three pointers all day long. Continue reading ‘Confused? Me too.’

The Atlanta Braves blew 29 saves out of 67 chances last year. 29! So going into the offseason, General Manager John Schuerholz made the bullpen his top priority. The first move they made was to sign Tanyon Sturtze. On December 7th they added right-handed reliever Rafael Soriano from the Seattle Mariners. All it cost them was Horacio Ramirez, who has been streaky at best for the Braves. Fast forward to January 17th, and Schuerholz was at it again, this time picking up Mike Gonzalez from the Pirates. The bounty this time was a little bit more, however, as the Braves had to depart with fan favorite Adam LaRoche.More after the jump…
Tip of the hat to Joe Ovies for bringing this to our attention. We all know about LT going haywire after the Pats beat the Chargers on Sunday, but it looks like Philip Rivers was right there with him.
The Idiot’s thoughts after the jump, along with the video… Continue reading ‘Emotions Boil Over – Updated’
Here’s an interview I noticed on ESPN.com this morning about our boy Ray Whitney. Enjoy.
