Tip of the hat to Joe Ovies for bringing this to our attention. We all know about LT going haywire after the Pats beat the Chargers on Sunday, but it looks like Philip Rivers was right there with him.

My take on this is pretty simple. Good for Philip for sticking up for his teammates. The Pats were out of line, and flat out classless to mock the Chargers, on their midfield logo no less, after the game. It would have been one thing if they had done the Merriman dance after making a defensive play. I would have found that humourous. However, to do it after the game, especially with how the game ended, is just wrong. Good for Philip Rivers, and good for LT.

As you may have noticed, I always try to be fair to every angle that I can. That being said, it has been brought to my attention that Shawn Merriman is a complete ass. He taunted the Pats not only during the week leading up to the game, but apparently during a halftime interview of the Pats/Jets game as well.

The fact that Merriman is a classless buffon in no way vindicates the Pats’ players. They had the chance to show that they were better, and classier than Merriman, and they chose to take the low road. I am of the opinion that once the clock reads zero, you put all of the BS behind you, shake hands and move on.
