Last year at this time we told you about FHM’s 2008 Sexiest Women Alive. Well, FHM released it’s 2009 list this week, and it has one hell of a surprise in it. Hit the jump for the list.
Coming in at number 10 this year is Freida Pinto. I don’t know who she is?
Number 9 brings us one Anna Friel. Again, I have no clue who this is.
Who is #8? Well, that would be Kristin Kreuk. You got it, never heard of her.
Seven is a lucky number, right? It is for us, because we finally know who one of these beautiful young ladies is. Seven is Elisha Cuthbert.
I think I have heard of #6 as well, but I’m not positive. Adriana Lima is up next.
Five down, five to go. So who is #5? Keeley Hazell, who I have also never heard of.
And with the big surprise of the list, at #4 FHM brings you Britney Spears. That’s right, Britney is back, baby!
Jessica Alba hits the list at #3. Yeah, yeah, I know who she is.
#2 is also someone who has graced the pages of this very blog before. She was also last year’s #1. Megan Fox.
So who is this year’s #1? Cheryl Cole. No. Freaking. Clue.
I did not see the rest of the list, so until I do I can not update you on where some of the top 10 snubs landed. So, maybe next Friday…..

Quite a lot of the sexiest women of 2008 must have died or something if Britney Spears is anywhere in the list for 2009 let alone at position 4. Right now I am saying in a voice of denial, Britney Spears? Nope never heard of her either….

If it were truly the 10 “sexiest women alive” then the odds are you would never have heard of any of them, unless you believe that the 10 sexiest women alive are probably all American and probably all celebrities?
Of course, the concept of “Sexiest women alive” is totally subjective which is why a list from a British magazine has several women who are only well known in the UK (although lima and pinto are global celebrities).
Logic would suggest that you’re more likely to find the “sexiest women alive” working as models rather than as actresses, singers, etc. so I think Adriana Lima and Keeley Hazel have more credibility being in this list than certain others (Britney Spears? lol)

I can’t believe you’ve not heard of Anna Friel, Cheryl Cole and Keeley Hazell. Not the best pic of Anna or Keeley but the pic of Cheryl isn’t bad. I wouldn’t have put her at No.1 though.
Just to fill you in, Anna Friel is an actress famous for portraying the first lesbian kissing scene in a soap (and the first lesbian kiss screened before the watershed). She is starting an apparently promising acting career in the USA now. Cole is a singer in the girl group Girls Aloud who have won various awards and had at least four No.1 singles and two No.1 albums. She’s also a judge on The X Factor. Hazell is one of the most popular Page 3 models.
