Tim Lincecum won his 15th game of the season as he wrapped up his 2009 campaign. Dude finished the season with a 2.48 ERA, 261 Ks, 68 BB and one other freakishly good statistic. Zero home runs given up at home. As a matter of fact, he only gave up ten long balls all year.

No need to worry, he was not pulled due to injury rather he was pulled do to suckitude. No worries here, Lincecum will be fine and is a must start every opportunity.
Jonathan Sanchez is a left handed starting pitcher for the San Francisco Giants. Do not be fooled by his 5.01 ERA from last season, but rather look at his 157 Ks over 158 innings. That is right ladies, dude sits hitters down at about one per inning. PECOTA says Sanchez should continue that trend (128 Ks projected) , and post an ERA of 4.24 over 135 innings. While he may not rack up a lot of wins, which you certainly want from your starters, he will rack up the strikeouts and have a decent WHIP at 1.37. My suggestion is to stash Sanchez and spot start him accordingly. As the number five guy in the rotation, he will either face a dominant one most of the time or he will draw the bottom of the opposition’s staff. The upside with Sanchez is tremendous, and if everything clicks he could lower his projected ERA by up to a point and tally another 40 or so strikeouts (over his projected128).

Mike Loree is in the midst of one of the most amazing stretches of baseball we will ever hear about. Dude has retired 62 of his last 63 batters, and has only picked up a single win to show for it. Loree is 1 – 1 with a 0.93 ERA for Class A Salem-Keizer in the Short-Season Northwest League. He has limited the opposition to a paltry .085 batting average, and sports a 27:0 K:BB ratio. Could Loree be the help that Tim Lincecum is going to need in order to get the San Francisco Giants back on track? We probably won’t know until next season at the earliest, with 2010 being the most likely time for his call-up. No fantasy impact for this season, but Loree is someone to keep on the radar going forward.
